26th July 2020

Welcome back! We are slowly reopening our classes and look forward to catching up with students old and new. Details of classes currently open, plus information about outdoor sessions are below. We will update this page as additional classes become available.

Safety – The speed with which we are able to reopen is dependent on a number of factors – including the ability of individual venues to remain ‘Covid Secure’. Safety is our main concern so we have made changes, where appropriate, to ensure this – these include smaller group sizes and increased levels of cleaning. If Refreshments were offered after a class – unfortunately, these will no longer be available, for the present. Some classes will require prior booking. Arrangements will vary according to venue, so please get in touch with the relevant instructor if you have any questions. Our details are on the Contact page.

East Stour and Buckhorn Weston – Classes are now open, however places are limited and by prior booking only. Please contact Julie for more information: Julie@nullwestcountrytaichi.co.uk

Outdoor Sessions: We recognise that some students might prefer to train in the open air for the present, so we are running two outdoor classes:

Silton – every Wednesday at 10am with Denise. In the field adjacent to the village hall. In the event of inclement weather the class will take in place in the large, open sided field shelter there. For places and more information please contact Denise on 07941 796635 or denise@nullwestcountrytaichi.co.uk

Cale Park, Wincanton – every Saturday at 1030 with Lin and Victorya. Weather permitting. For more information contact Lin on 07749899094 or Vicytorya on 07973 771765

19th March 2019Message from Denise, Lin, Julie and Victorya – Classes Suspended and other Updates

Most of you will have received the news by now, but we have taken the decision to suspend all classes in Frome, Zeals, Bruton, Buckhorn Weston and East Stour. The situation is fast moving, so check with Lin as to whether sessions in Wincanton will go ahead.

These are worrying times for all of us, so please take time to look after yourselves. Tai Chi Qigong is a fantastic form of exercise – one that helps you to breathe, relax and reduce stress, so try to find time to practise, even if it is just the simplest of movements from the sets we cover. Remember it doesn’t need to be perfect and it is better to do a little than nothing at all.

Lin has been exploring the possibility of running ‘Pop-Up Tai Chi Qigong’ sessions in the park in Wincanton and similarly both Julie and I are hoping to run sessions outdoors when the situation improves. Victorya will be starting an additional mid-week class at the Balsam Centre, Wincanton when things get back to normal.

Stay safe and well everyone and we hope to catch up with you again very soon.

From Victorya – 17th March 2020

Cancellation – Sadly I have had to suspend my Bruton Class and put my plans for a new class at the Balam Centre on hold for now. Stay well and relax!!

Happy New Year to all our students!
